Delivery to one of the largest central warehouses in Sweden

During the autumn of 2014 and until the spring of 2015 Constructor will be supplying and installing no less than 110,000 pallet locations in mobile pallet racking to Jula's new compact central warehouse in Skara. This means an almost doubling of storage capacity and provides the Jula central warehouse with a total capacity of 220,000 pallet locations.

"We will deliver a compact storage solution with pallet racking installed on trolleys. The installation will contain approximately 110,000 pallet locations, says Peter Johansson, Area Manager at Constructor Sweden AB.

Constructor Mobile Pallet Racking is perfect when it comes to space optimization and well-known in all of Europe. In Sweden alone there are up to 100 installations in both conventional and freeze warehouse environment. Mobile Pallet Racking consists of pallet racks installed on electrically driven trolleys running on rails in the floor. The system consists of built in blocks with a number of trolleys and often with a static racking at the walls. To create an aisle for the picking truck, you operate a control panel or you can also do this by remote control from the truck.

"The racking that we deliver is of a very high standard and equipped with accessories such as night optimization and centrally controlled lighting. Jula has really gone all-in when it comes to our part of the project. This is the largest delivery we have made so far in Sweden and the warehouse will be in operation at all times, says Peter Johansson.

CEO Joachim Frykberg at Jula AB says: "This is an important investment. Today our warehouse has a filling degree which is sometimes up to 100 percent. To meet future challenges this extension was imperative. With the expansion of our central warehouse, we can continue the expansion with Skara as our base. It allows us to go ahead with our planned aggressive expansion in a good way, while we at the same time work hard to develop the existing units. "
